SW Testing Lifecycle; An Application Lifecycle Management and associates good practices context

This paper presents the challenges of integrating a Software (SW) Testing Lifecycle with an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) approach. The paper explores exemplars of associated good practices in context of the Information Technology and Communication (ITC) stack and their association with the SW Testing Lifecycle. Also, the paper explores the business challenges, with a specific focus on testing that will enable the supply of IT services that would enable product and services to be delivered to their clients.

In the reference model the focus is upon a) the specification of requirements for the performance of the testing lifecycle, typically in terms of associated Application Lifecycle Management context, and b) in the context of the ITC stack.

This paper will embrace and support the intent of the emerging standard ISO/IEC 29119, and will simultaneously attempt to demonstrate the application thereof in and ALM context, supported by the ITC stack view, while considering related areas of emerging practice.
